Architectural Precast Casting Process There are few limits to the sections and shapes that can be produced with Architectural Precast. Of the three panel systems Willis Construction produces, Precast is the heaviest at 55 lbs./sq.ft. (minimum). There are very few limits to the shapes and sections that can be achieved with a GFRC panel system. Some of the most ornate and decorative buildings in recent years have a GFRC panel skin. GFRC allows the designer to use deep panel sections without the weight of conventional precast. Of the three types of precast systems that Willis Construction produces, this product has the most limitations with respect to shape. Panels are limited to only flat wall type surfaces. In some cases small bullnose projections can be used, but add more weight and cost to this system.

Throughout Willis Construction's 30 years of production, we have been fortunate to be involved with some of the most dynamic and design challenging projects using Precast products. Every project is different in design appearance and has certain budgetary limits. Willis Construction produces three commonly used Precast Panel Systems that can accommodate a wide range of these design needs. We look forward to discussing any design/budgeting questions regarding these systems as well as deciding which one would be best suited for your next project.
